~ Unexpected Changes ~

Oh where do I even begin!!

~~~~~~~~~~~

It's been a CRAZY rollercoaster ride

for the past few months.

Although it feels like it's been at least a year!!

Let's see...

My husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary :))

I turned 41 and my baby turned 21!!

Not quite sure how that happened...

I feel like he should be starting kindergarden!!

Ummm.... what else....

Oh Yeah!!  We opened our shop again!!!

Not really what I had planned right now,

(I was actually planning on being in Round Top right now)

but never the less,

we're open for business!!

I have been wanting to post about it for sometime,

but it seems everytime I sit down with my laptop

I fall asleep!!

So anyway, yes, we've opened our doors and we are

welcoming customers with open arms :))

I am really am excited about it,

just not the way it all came about.

I will spare you all the "day time soap opera" like details!

Just know that this was not my planning,

but I know that God has bigger plans than I do,

and just like every other unexpected event in my life

I have faith that it will all work out and be a HUGE blessing :))

In the process I am learning more about myself
and others while having my character tested to the Nth degree!!

So it's all good :)

But I would love for y'all to come visit our little shop!!

~ White Christmas in July ~

I love Christmas!!
It is by far my favorite time of year.
I treasure the memories (good and sad) of the past.
So today I'm thinking a dose of a
cool white Christmas is what I need :))
How about you??

These were taken at our old Shoppe.
It was so beautiful!!  I absolutely loved it!!
The table and bench above is one that my brother made :))

It looked and smelled heavenly!!

 

It's almost like a dream now.....
But a good dream :))

Welcome to my garden!!

I've taken around my home

 and my mom's home.

The roses in front of the

rusty iron gate are from my mom's garden.

Her back yard looks like a park!!!  No joke!!

IT'S AMAZING!!

I will do a post featuring her yard very soon.

This past week has been such a whirlwind for me!!

Here's the scoop on the Party!!

I don't know about you, but I love them!!

I had plans to do a tutorial on things I know how to do.

(Well, almost everything, lol ;))

But after my first tutorial (Making Paper Peonies) I soon realized

that I will be well into my 100's before I complete them all!!

And that could be pushing it, lol!

Not that I am jam packed full of knowledge,

but it just takes time to do it.

So I thought about just taking all the tips, tricks, & tutorials

that I've bookmarked over the years and

categorize them in pages on my blog.

Which I am still planning to do.

But then I started thinking about having to go out and search for

more tips, tricks, and tutorials after my bookmarked links are done.

Sooo, my solution is to start a LINK PARTY!!! WOOO HOOO!!

What do ya think?? I'm totally excited about it!!

Just think of all the wonderful ideas, talent,

and knowledge that's floating around out there in blogland!!

And it would all magically appear on my blog!!!

Yeah, I have to say I'm lovin' this idea more and more!!

So, it's time to let your inner Martha  

shine like the star she was meant to be!!

Not only will you get to show YOUR finished product, but you can SHOW ME HOW!!

Even if it's something that you've made for yourself or to sell

(like in an Etsy shop)

MORE POWER TO YA, LOL!!!

Seriously!! I love link parties, but my favorite one limits me because I can't show what I'm working on to put in my booth or what I'm working on for a customer

(which is pretty much what I blog about!!)

 Well, I can only show my grandmother's dishes so many times, lol!! And that's basically the only thing I have that I love to show off!! Everything else, well... I just don't!!

Oh and my grandbabies, lol!!

Organizing your home, cleaning tips, how to fold towels (yes, I believe this is an art, lol), napkin folding, make your own baby food, how to set a table, how to plant a flower, decorating, how to get rid of soap scum!! Whatever you want as long as it family friendly!! How to start a business, how to start a blog, how to paint your nails, how to straighten your hair, correct grammar or punctuation, lol, your favorite cleaning agent (Barkeeper's Friend), how to clean silver, even how to change a tire, oil, or any other manly stuff (this is not just for women) How to build a house, how to change a light bulb, lol, how to rewire an old lamp!!
I've googled them all!!
(well, not how to change a light bulb, but you never know :))

It will be a one stop tips, tricks, & tutorials shop!!!

That's a tongue twister!!

And it doesn't matter if there are twenty tutorials
on how to make a paper peony!!
Because they're all different!!

Yours might be the one that has that one extra step or an

easier way to do it than everyone else!!

You're only limited by your imagination!!
